Hey look, it’s Server Data!
March 31, 2008 at 1:20 am | In Uncategorized | Leave a CommentHi folks,
I put some love into server-data gathering (again) and I thought why not publish the results to you guys.
The cache-files are actually a lot like the WDB files stored in your WoW-Cache directory (they contain almost the same structure), except the fact that my files probably contain WAAAYYYY more data
Basically you find every single item in the ItemCache.cache file (23k+ records), every Quest in the QuestCache.cache file and so on. I’ll try to update the files on a regular basis. Most of the data is brandnew directly from the 8089 client, just gathered with my little WDBGatherer addon today. So if the “LastValidVersion” column tells you it’s a 8089 record, it’s newly updated with the latest live-data.
The GameObjectCache file is old and quite useless at the moment. But because it’s doesn’t contain “important” information I’ll let it as it is.
Please always keep in mind that all the data/records are gathered from different providers (WDB Files, Allakhazam, WoWDB etc.), so there is always the possibility that some data is missing or wrong.
What could you guys do with all this data? Well, you could build some pretty nice addons or websites or whatever with all the information. Look at it like a small version of WoWDB ![]()
I’ve build some pretty nice things myself with the data (WoWModelViewer-List, WDBGatherer Addon etc.)
REQUEST:
I’m looking for a willing dude with a taiwanese, chinese, russian and/or korean WoW-client to fill in the missing localizations in the cache-files. Thanks in advance.
NOTE:
You probably have to uninstall your previous version of WoW Table Viewer via “start -> settings -> control panel -> software” due to changes in the deployment process.
